Piano 3:00
- Use the correct fingers
- Use any finger you want
- Remember which notes are 1 Beat, 2 Beats, 4 Beats, and 1/2 a Beat (fast notes)
- Bb is the black note on the left of B
Violin 3:30
- Remember to change the direction of your bow after every note
- You must play all four lines without stopping
- Press your Finger 1 on the D String to play the Low E
- Be careful which string you are bowing on (“Eat Apples, Do Good”)
- Remember to count the beats. Which notes and rests are 1 Beat, 2 Beats?
- Remember which notes are short and which are normal/regular
- Remember to count the beats. White notes are 1 Beat, 2 Beats, and 4 Beats?

- Don’t forget how to play the Ebo7 chord
- Count the beats for the chords by using the melody notes as a reference
- Strum only once for every chord change
- Each slash is one beat

- Each chord is 4 Beats, unless there are two in a bar/measure, in which case they are 2 Beats
- Strum only once for every chord change
- Be mindful of the rhythm and syncopations
- Hold the long notes for long enough
- Focus on the first section
- Get used to all the chromatic notes

- Practice all strings, focusing on the biggest string and the one next to it
- Bow the string while counting “1 2 3 4,” and every time you get back to “1,” change the direction of the bow
- Make sure not to pull or push the bow too quickly that you run out of space to move it
- Add Finger 1 on the smallest string, do the same exercise

Finger 4 on High, Finger 3 on Middle, Finger 2 on Low
With your right hand, use fingers 2, 3, and 4 and place them on a group of 3 black keys, with each finger having its own key. Try and repeat any rhythms or beats that you can hear around you.
Sing “Old MacDonald had a farm…” and play “EIEIO” on the piano (4 4 3 3 2)
Make sure your singing and playing are at the same speed!

Add the high D, E, and F to the list, and practice going from low G to high G and back down
