Our students also have the opportunity to participate in an award-winning citywide student honor orchestra “Orchestra Kids”. This orchestra includes 120 of the area’s brightest students from two dozen Los Angeles area elementary schools, individually selected by their school music teacher.
Student ages range from seven to twelve, with the average age of an honor orchestra member being just ten years old. Now in its 21st year, this orchestra is the first and only collaboration of the city’s best and brightest elementary school music students.
