What we practiced this week- November 30th
Mr. Vince’s Classes
Pianos 2:40
- Practice #20 Exercise 2 inside the book
- Low note is C, high note is G
- Remember Dos > D to find the D and C notes (C is lower than D)
- Use the Right Hand, and correct fingers based on the finger numbers I put next to the notes
- We cannot play music if you don’t let me give you instructions, so make sure when I’m speaking, we do not make any sounds on the keyboard
- Bring your books every week to class
- DO NOT touch or use any of the things in the classroom which do not belong to you
Antonio & Luisa:
- Practice #37. Cha Cha Cha in the book
- Make sure you use the correct fingers, it will help make things easy
- Write down the note names for all the notes you have a hard time remembering if it helps you

- Practice the B minor scale (B C# D E F# G A B C#)
- Make sure you check you’re not pressing any side keys
- Practice playing them smooth and soft and gentle, instead of a loud honk

- We practiced Jingle Bells and Mary Had a Little Lamb.
- We remembered to keep our violins up “flat like a table”,
- and to keep the bow closer to the bridge, halfway between the bridge and the fingerboard.
- We practiced relaxing our bowgrip.
- We played “Mississippi Hot Dog” on all the strings.
- Practice with video here. “Tilt” the bow to change strings.

- adding the left hand fingers for the first 3 measures, E and G,
- And then changing to F and A.

- Don’t let the bow hit the sides of the bracelet. *remember the fingers go over the bow, the thumb is touching the hump of the frog and is bent, pinky sits on top!
