  • Students did super well today!  We learned all the parts of the violin.  Please review them this week.  We went through the 8 Steps to Violin Position.  This is essential to learning how to properly hold and play the violin.  Every time your student practices this week, these 8 steps should be followed.  Lastly, we learned to pluck each string.  G, D, A and E.  They should practice this over the week and next week we will begin with the book.  I explained to your child today that we will not be using the bows until we learn Twinkle.  It will be very tempting for them to want to use the bows, but please do not use them until I introduce them in a few weeks.
