Saint Brendan School

2023 Spring Session ll

Music Program Details

Grades: K-8

Course Description:

Welcome to the Spring Session of After-School Music!

All levels welcome and no experience required!

Students will be grouped in classes of similar instruments and ages, where they will learn how to play their desired instrument. This program is designed to keep music FUN, so students should expect to play many familiar songs throughout the program, in addition to learning the fundamentals of rhythm, harmony and traditional note reading.

Smaller group classes will come together as one larger ensemble in the spring, culminating in a final year-end concert!

Instruments

  • Kindergarteners and 1st graders may choose the Violin Ensemble (violin) or Piano/Keyboard
  • 2nd through 8th graders may choose the Violin Ensemble (violin), Piano/Keyboard, or Ukulele

Schedule

Instruction for the spring session begins on Monday, February 6th and runs through May 26th, 2023, culminating in a year-end  concert.

Small group classes are offered in Session Two (February-June):

3:00PM: Piano/Keyboard

3:30PM: Violin Ensemble

4:00PM: Ukulele Ensemble

Students waiting to take a later lesson may attend after school care while waiting for their lesson, but must be picked up at the end of their lesson time.  If you are already enrolled in after school care your child can attend after school care before and after their music class.
