Welcome to Piano Workshop!
All levels are welcome, and prior experience is not required!
Are you looking for a fun and engaging way to introduce your child to the world of music through the piano? Look no further than our Piano Workshop program!
This workshop is not a replacement for our renowned Orchestra program; it’s the perfect complementary experience, offering an additional day of dedicated piano instruction. Even better, it’s conveniently bundled with our Orchestra program for a comprehensive and enriching musical education!
No matter your child’s experience level, our program welcomes all students who are interested in learning to play the piano. With our small group classes tailored to students’ ages and abilities, they’ll receive personalized attention and instruction from our talented and experienced teachers.
Throughout the 2025-2026 school year program, your child will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of rhythm, harmony, and traditional note reading, all while playing familiar songs they love.

Schools Offering Piano Workshop
- Kindergarten through Eighth graders at the following schools may choose to also enroll in Piano Workshop.
Schedule
Instruction begins on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 and runs through the spring, culminating in a Spring Concert in May, 2025.
Thirty to forty minute small group lessons will be held each Wednesday after school between 2:45 PM and 5:00 PM. Please keep that time block free on Wednesdays. This flexibility in scheduling will allow us to create classes best suited for the enrollment.
The final schedule and location of classes will be announced via email after enrollment is complete. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. To aid in your planning, note that beginning classes will be held earlier than intermediate and advanced level classes.
Once the schedule is available, please have your child’s schedule clear for their assigned 30 – 40 minute time block. Students waiting to take a later lesson may opt to go home with parents and then return to school at lesson time. Or, contact the school regarding available campus supervision for students waiting to take their lesson.
All students must be picked up promptly when their class ends. Please park in the church lot and walk up to the PAC by the time your child’s class ends and wait outside the PAC door. Any student who is not picked up on time will be sent to the library. After the library closes at 4:30, students not picked up on time will remain in the PAC and incur a late pick-up fee of $1 per minute. Please pick-up your child on time.
Program costs
A onetime program fee of $695 is due with your registration and covers the entire 2025-2026 school year program.
Students also enrolled in orchestra can register on their school’s page and receive a 50% discount on the Piano Workshop when bundled with Orchestra!
Additional Resources
The program fee covers all instructional costs, sheet music, method books and basic supplies given to your child throughout the year.
Each student will also have access to a customized Class Portal, where they will receive weekly class recaps, practice suggestions, sheet music downloads, helpful video tutorials, and much more!
The only other expense will be the rental or purchase of the instrument (see below).
Private Lessons - *Optional*
Enhance Your Child’s Musical Journey with Personalized Private Lessons!
Our group lessons alone will provide your student with a sufficient amount of instruction throughout the school year to become proficient at their chosen instrument, as well as provide an enriching musical experience.
Designed to complement our group sessions, these optional private lessons offer tailored guidance which caters to individual aspirations and accelerates progress.
Duration: Ongoing – Charged automatically as your pre-paid lesson blocks are completed.
Private Lesson Fee:
- Block of FOUR, 30-minute lessons : $192 – scheduled directly with your teacher on a weekly basis
- Block of TWO, 30-minute lessons : $96 – scheduled directly with your teacher every other week
Getting your instrument
It is important to select a keyboard that is lightweight for easy transport to and from school. We’ve selected some portable keyboard options below that are even lighter than a trumpet or violin! **IMPORTANT: Please select a keyboard that has battery power or that can be fully-charged for independent use in class. Disposable Battery or Rechargeable Battery Power is required for class.
