2024 Spring Semester

Orchestra Program Details

Grades: 6-8

Course Description:

Welcome to Orchestra!

All levels are welcome and prior experience is not required!

Are you looking for a fun and engaging way to introduce your child to the world of music? Look no further than our Orchestra program!

No matter your child’s experience level, our program welcomes all students who are interested in learning how to play woodwind, brass, or string instruments. With our small group classes tailored to students’ ages and abilities, they’ll receive personalized attention and instruction from our talented and experienced teachers.

Throughout the 2024 spring semester program, your child will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of rhythm, harmony, and traditional note reading, all while playing familiar songs that they love. Smaller groups will come together to form a larger ensemble, culminating in an unforgettable year-end concert.

Not only will your child learn valuable skills and techniques that will serve them well throughout their lives, they’ll also have a blast doing it! So why wait? Sign up your child for our Orchestra program today and watch as they discover the joy of music.

Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth graders may choose the violin, cello, flute, clarinet, trumpet, or trombone.

Classes start on Friday, February 23rd, 2024 and continue throughout the entire spring semester, culminating in a year-end concert in early June, 2024.

Small group classes will meet in 1-hour increments every Monday AND Friday after school. Meeting two days every week will allow us to fit in 26 classes before the end of the semester. Please note that orchestra classes will meet every Monday and Friday that school is in session, starting on Friday, February 16th and continuing until our concert in early June, 2024.

The final schedule and location of classes will be announced via email after enrollment is complete. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. To aid in your planning, note that younger students will be scheduled earlier than older students.

Once the final class schedule is completed, please have your child’s schedule clear after school for their assigned one hour time block.
