Welcome to Piano Workshop!

All levels welcome – no experience necessary!

Our Piano Workshop is a dynamic, hands-on program designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of music through one of the most versatile and accessible instruments available – the piano! Whether your child is brand new to music or continuing their piano journey, this program provides a supportive environment where students can build skills, express creativity, and develop confidence at the keyboard.

Piano is an ideal foundational instrument, making concepts like music theory, harmony, and sight-reading more intuitive. Students will learn proper technique, note reading, rhythm, and harmony through engaging repertoire and fun, level-appropriate exercises and songs. Small group classes are organized by age and experience level, allowing for individualized instruction and steady progress throughout the school year.

Course Description:

Welcome to the Spring Session of After-School Music!                             

All levels are welcome and prior experience is not required!

Are you looking for a fun and engaging way to introduce your child to the world of music? Look no further than our Orchestra program!

No matter your child’s experience level, our program welcomes all students who are interested in learning how to play woodwind, brass, or string instruments – including guitar, ukulele, and piano. With our small group classes tailored to students’ ages and abilities, they’ll receive personalized attention and instruction from our talented and experienced teachers.

Throughout the 2024-2025 school year program, your child will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of rhythm, harmony, and traditional note reading, all while playing familiar songs that they love. Smaller groups will come together to form a larger ensemble, culminating in an unforgettable year-end concert.

Instruments

  • Kindergarteners through 8th graders may sign up for the Piano Workshop
    • Keyboards will be provided for use in class ONLY during the weekly piano lessons.
    • We recommend obtaining a keyboard for home practice if you do not already have a piano or keyboard at home. (see below for options)

Schedule

Instruction for the Piano Workshop begins on Thursday, September 18, 2025, and runs through June, 2026, culminating in a year-end Spring Recital.

The 1 hour group piano class will be scheduled every Thursday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the music room on campus.

Program costs

A program fee is requested from each participant to cover the entire 2025-26 School Year spanning September 18, 2025, through June, 2026. 

One payment of $595 covers the entire 2025-26 School Year – due with registration

Additional Resources

The program fee covers all instructional costs, sheet music, method books, and basic supplies provided to your child throughout the year.

Each student will also have access to a customized Class Portal, which includes weekly class recaps, practice assignments, practice tips, downloadable sheet music, play along tracks, helpful video tutorials, and more.

The only additional cost is the purchase of your child’s instrument for at home practice (see below).

Private Lessons - *Optional*

Enhance Your Child’s Musical Journey with Personalized Private Lessons!

Our weekly group classes alone provide a sufficient amount of instruction throughout the year to ensure age-appropriate proficiency and an enriching musical experience.

Private lessons are an additional opportunity for our motivated students who want more personalized guidance to support their goals or wish to progress at an accelerated pace.

Private Lesson Details:
  • Designed to complement group lessons.
  • Scheduled directly with your child’s assigned teacher.
  • Lessons take place either at school (after all classes have concluded) or at your home, based on family preference and teacher availability. Home lessons may require an additional travel fee determined by your private teacher.
  • Private teachers will be assigned several weeks after the program begins, giving students time to establish fundamentals before starting one-on-one instruction.
  • Billed automatically as each pre-paid block is completed.
Lesson Fees:
  • Block of 4 (30-minute lessons): $228
  • Block of 2 (30-minute lessons): $114

Discounted rental and purchase prices have been arranged for participating music students through our official instrument supplier.
